I had thought of doing something more New Year’s inspired, but then I went shopping at Fanatik yesterday as they announced a big sale and ended up stuck doing some landscaping around one of my castles instead. That also seemed like a very good bit of scenery for showing off one of Senzafine’s recent gowns and letting you know that Senzafine and the Muses have had to more their mainstores. Senzafine has also put on a sale in conjunction with the move. All details about the two sales and the move below, plus a brief look at the newest gacha hair from Analog Dog.
For Blush, deviousMind has a really cool gacha set out called “Unlocked”. The common item which forms the base is a chain harness with strategically placed locks. The rares consist of floating and wrapping ribbons (the floating ones are bento animated) which can be set to match any harness in colour and also has options for opacity. I knew right off that I wanted poses that were fairly dynamic so that the floating ribbons would make sense and after searching around in my inventory I came across the “Dancing Blades” set from HopScotch. Just what I needed!
Another piece from the Bound Box that really caught my fancy was the Alpha hair from Analog Dog. While rigged mesh has allowed long hairs to work in a lot of positions, there are always exceptions. And if you want to have a bit of flex mixed in with the mesh for softness and movement, you most definitely need a special hair just for that position. In this case, on all fours. The hair actually comes with a couple poseball as well, but here I am using a lingerie pose from Boudoir Rouge. Also featured is the newest lingerie set from Salt & Pepper and a romantic tattoo from Fallen Gods.
You may be seeing horses in a lot of upcoming posts, thanks to the new bodies for the Teegle Bento Horse Avatar. Here, I couldn’t resist pairing the baroque horse with a black coat with this striking red outfit created with a Senzafine gown and accessories by Noble Creations. I love the effect of those strong colours against both the snow and the pale skin from Imabee.
I’ve spent the day cooking food for tomorrow’s julbord—Christmas smorgasbord—and just managed to get everything finished before midnight. My brain is feeling a little overcooked, though, so I’ll be keeping this brief. I am continuing the farewell to genre with a piece from Noctis, combined with a lovely new skin from Fallen Gods and a gacha hair from Analog Dog. My winter nymph is accompanied by an arctic fox from Jian and sits on the elven throne by HEXtraordinary.
It is time for ROMP again and Voluptas Virtualis have two new releases out at the event. The first is a barely there metal bikini, featuring some gorgeous filigree and delicate gemstones. I broke out the Kismet poses from Nantra and wandered off to my stone circle from LORE for some dancing in the mists to summon forth something or other.
Bento attachments are a good excuse for another video to show them off in the best way. For example, the rares from the newest deviousMind gacha, where the movement created by animating bento bones adds another layer of realism. Well, maybe realism isn’t quite the right word when speaking of a succubus, but it certainly looks good either way! I also took the opportunity to show off some recently acquired companions from HEXtraordinary and Jian as well as a new skin by the Plastik and new hair by Analog Dog. The decor is a mix of Noble Creations and Death Row Designs.
The Lootbox gacha event opened just before I left for the weekend, so I managed to get some plays in, which included winning the rare from Analog Dog on my first try. Not my usual luck! I also played the Jian Avian Arcana gacha and came away with some nice birds that I have to work into a post soon enough. But this one is all about this gorgeous belly dancing set from deviousMind.
From East to West, Genre leaves its Moroccan round behind and moves on to the Celts. My favourite item this round has to be the sets from LORE, featuring a set of granite stones and a set of sandstone stones. There is also another lovely gown from the Muses and some very nice jewellery from Bliensen+MaiTai.
I love this “Ancient Persian” set by Noble Creations for the Fantasy Gacha Carnival, but I struggled for a few days to find the right location. Then Ran suggested that there was something organic about the metal shapes. I had been rejecting the idea of a forest setting, wanting more of a sword & sorcery look, but when I tried it out it turned out to be just right. I also added this cool staff from the Plastik which has a ton of colour options and matched the other set quite well.
Inspired by the lovely Honeysuckle Fairy dress (complete with wings!) from Paper Moon, I went full fairy today and flitted about the Faireland Junctions. This stunning sim, which is the waypoint to all the other sims, is built by the talented Sayige Lotus of Balderdash. Its amazingly lush, with huge trees that make you feel like a pixie and masses of fantastic flowers everywhere. Make sure you don’t just pass through it!
Fantasy Faire 2017 is finally open! The Fairelands are awaiting visitors and if you can’t manage to get in right away, you can get a look at three of the nine shopping sims in a video that I put together. I apologize in advance for some random panning around at times as well as a fair bit of rambling. The sims featured are Chaddul Ro, The Rose and San Mora and I also picked out a few creators on each sim to take a closer look at. I did learn after completing the video that some elements of the Rose were not installed at the time I made the video, so to see the Rose in full bloom make sure to visit the sim on your own (but you should do that anyway, it has some great creators on it).
Romp opened yesterday and is celebrating its anniversary with an opulent two-sim fair, full of naughty treats. I decided to make use of a prop from Roawenwood from a previous round of Romp to give Ran something to do while I dressed myself up in new releases from Luxuria and Aisling. The gorgeous hair I am wearing is actually the gift from Analog Dog at Hair Fair, which opened today.
The latter half of May was eaten up by illness and scrambling to meet deadlines, so I am still behind on my reviews. But even though last month’s We Love Role-Play is over and the new one is just around the corner, I just had to combine a preview from Aisling from the new round with on my favourite items from the last round. After all, who can resist having their very own Iron Throne?
A sudden heatwave, intent on making up for what has been a rather dreary spring so far, has made sitting in front of a computer less than comfortable. Alas, my work involves sitting right there, so from time to time I might as well take a break to play around in Second Life (one of the benefits of working for yourself). It seemed appropriate to use one of the houses in our little desert considering the weather.
